EVENTS

July

The Bowness Seniors’ Centre participate in the Annual Bowness Stampede Parade on Saturday July 6.  Our President (Merrill Coombs) and VP (Carol Burnstein) rode in the back of a convertible driven by Paul Godard & accompanied by Garry Arneson. Morris Johanson was driving a golf cart with his daughter, both of who were sporting Bowness Seniors’ Centre jackets.  Along with the convertible and golf cart we had members (supported by family members and volunteers) who walked the entire parade route, the oldest who was 86.  At the end of the parade was the pancake breakfast – some of our members volunteered there to feed the participants, the people who lined the route and community members.
