Repair Cafe

This last month we had the awesome opportunity to host a Repair Cafe here in our centre. Repair cafes are hosted all around the city all year round with the main goal of keeping things out of landfills and helping you use your belongings for longer!

With their partnership we were able to help many members of our Bowness community by fixing, mending and repairing their old and damaged belongings. 

We partnered with The Arusha Centre; a collectively run, member-supported organization with the vision to “ inspire and support communities to connect, gather, and create a socially, economically, and environmentally just future.”

Our president shared , “this was a wonderful event! The bike repair man was especially popular and gave everyone who came to him a hands on chance to learn for themselves how to tweak and tinker with their bikes. It was a great opportunity for the community to come learn not only about how to keep their things working like new but also to check out our centre!”
